Showing a bundle outside a product page is a self-service job now. Two placements cover it, both available in the app and the theme editor, and neither needs a developer.
A Featured bundle block, for a promotional section
In Shopify theme editor → any template → Add section/block, the app offers two blocks. They work on any template, home page included.
Featured bundle (temp. 1) shows one or more chosen bundles as a full promotional section: a product list, product and option selectors, a quantity selector, and Prev / Next buttons when several bundles are listed.
Featured bundle (temp. 2) is for a fixed bundle with no choices. It renders just an image, a title, a description, a countdown and one Add-to-cart button, and it shows only the first bundle ID you enter.
Once the block is placed, its ID field takes the bundle's numeric ID — the same number as in the copied snippet's data-bundle-id. Separate several IDs with commas, for example 130,139, which temp. 1 shows in turn and temp. 2 reduces to the first match.
The block renders nothing at all when no listed ID matches a bundle of a supported type. It supports Standard Bundle, Mix & Match, Buy X Get Y and Product Pack bundles; quantity-break bundles render nothing there, so a Volume discount bundle cannot be placed this way.
The bundle's own snippet, for anywhere at all
Every bundle that has been saved at least once carries a copyable snippet in Bundle form → Advanced tab → Widget placement:
<mbc-bundles-widget data-bundle-id="12345"></mbc-bundles-widget>
Paste it into any page, section or template and that bundle's widget appears there — collection page, home page, blog, static page, cart, a custom Liquid block. No product page and no Add-to-cart form are required.
The snippet is only shown on a bundle that already has an ID, so save the bundle once first, and it is hidden on the non-primary variant of a running A/B test.
What has to be true for either to render
The MBC Bundles App embed must be enabled in the theme being viewed. Turn it on in Shopify theme editor → App embeds. Without it the custom element is never defined and the tag renders as empty inline HTML. The setting is per theme, so a duplicated or draft theme needs its own.
The bundle must also be in the storefront payload: Active, inside its active period, in the shopper's market, not excluded for a B2B shopper, and still within the shop's app plan.
Buying a bundle from a quick view pop-up
If your theme opens a quick view or quick add modal from the collection grid, the app already handles it. It watches for add-to-cart forms that appear inside a modal, and when the form belongs to a bundle that has its own Shopify product — a Physical or Shopify bundle — it hides the theme's variant selectors, disables the theme's Add to cart, and mounts the bundle widget in the modal. The shopper picks the bundle's products and buys it there, without opening the product page.
One limit: this applies to forms inside a modal only. A quick-buy form sitting directly in a collection grid card, with no modal around it, is skipped.
When you still need Custom Features
Setup → Custom Features is for what the settings above do not cover — for example showing the bundle discount on the cart page, repositioning the widget beyond what the app blocks allow, or an Ajax or slider cart integration for a theme that does not use Shopify's standard cart contract.
There are cases where such an install cannot be done, because another app operating on the collection page or home page conflicts with it, so each request is checked before it is accepted.
