A shopper can remove any ordinary line from a Shopify cart, and the app can't change that. So the real question is whether your bundle arrives in the cart as one line or as several, and that comes down to two settings that are easy to mix up.

Create a product for this bundle additionally to widget. This decides whether the bundle gets its own Shopify product page at all. Leave it unticked and the bundle stays widget-only; tick it and you choose Physical or Shopify.

Bundle products on cart and checkout page. A radio, Separate items or Single product, that decides whether the bundle occupies one cart line or one line per component. It only exists on a bundle that has its own product.

Neither of them is called "As one product in the cart" — if you're hunting for that label, these two are what you're looking for.

A bundle set to Single product goes into the cart as one line, with its components grouped, so the shopper cannot pull one item out of it.

On a Shopify bundle, the radio is always available and Single product is the default. The line is split into its components at checkout and in the order — that's how Shopify's native bundles present, and it doesn't make the components individually removable.

On a Physical bundle, Separate items is the default, and the radio is only offered while the bundle is still saved as Single product. Once a Physical bundle has been saved as Separate items, the option disappears for that bundle for good. To get it back, open the Bundles list, use the ••• menu on the row → Duplicate, choose Single product on the copy before its first save, then deactivate or delete the original.

A widget-only bundle, and any bundle set to Separate items, put each component into the cart as a real, separate Shopify line. The shopper can remove any of them, and no setting prevents that.

Two things are worth knowing for those bundles.

Required slots control what the shopper can build, not what they can delete later. With Optional products off, every slot is always part of the bundle. With it on, a slot whose Optional box is unticked is still always included, and Minimum items required sets the floor on how many items the bundle must hold. That governs the widget — it doesn't put a lock on the cart line afterwards.

Removing a required component removes the discount. On any bundle without a single cart line, taking a required item out of the cart drops the bundle discount. This is by design: the shopper who strips the bundle loses the saving, which is usually the outcome you wanted the lock for.

Both settings are one-way. "Create a product for this bundle additionally to widget" locks on the first save, so a widget-only bundle can never be given a product page later. And the Physical bundle's Single product option disappears the moment the bundle is saved as Separate items.

If you already have a bundle on the wrong side of either, duplicating it is the only route — the copy opens with both controls editable again.
