A bundle discount and one of your own Shopify discounts can apply to the same cart, but only when you have allowed that combination store-wide. Nothing about building a bundle turns combining on, and the bundle itself carries no setting for it.

Go to Settings → App settings → the Combinations discounts card. Four toggles sit there:

Each one permits Shopify to consider combining the bundle discount with that class of Shopify's own discount, subject to Shopify's own combination rules. They do not change any individual bundle's discount — they control what is allowed across the whole store.

The Subscription discounts toggle shows a warning while it is on: "It is not permitted to use the shop without subscribing".

The toggles are set once per store and apply to every bundle equally. They work by discount class — Product, Order, Shipping, Subscription — and never by individual code. There is no way to let one influencer's code stack with your bundles while blocking another's.

Once a combination is permitted, Shopify calculates the result using its own combination rules. The app does not set the order in which discounts are applied and does not decide whether they compound, so the arithmetic is Shopify's, not the bundle's.

Two consequences of how the app's engine works are worth knowing:

The engine only ever issues product discounts. It never touches shipping. Whether your free-shipping threshold is measured before or after the bundle discount is Shopify's own behaviour, not something this app sets or changes.

Bundle discounts are automatic, with no code. They are calculated by Shopify at the cart and applied without anyone typing anything, so there is no bundle code to combine with — the combining happens between the automatic bundle discount and whatever discount of your own you have created.

Shopify limits how many active automatic discounts a store can run at once. Bundles beyond that ceiling simply stop discounting, and the app's bundle list shows a warning banner when it happens. If you are adding your own automatic discounts alongside a lot of active bundles, this is the limit to watch.

What is not established anywhere in the app's documentation is how a bundle discount interacts with a third-party app's own automatic discount — specifically whether two automatic discounts compound, which one wins, or in what order they are applied.
