What you can build
Fixed-set bundles, buy-X-get-Y, mix & match, variety packs, volume/quantity-break pricing, and mini-builder offers — from 14 ready-made presets or a fully custom structure. See "The kinds of bundle you can build."
A bundle that exists only as a storefront widget, as a Physical product listed across your other sales channels, or as a native Shopify bundle usable in Shopify POS. See "The kinds of bundle you can build."
Discounts by percentage, a fixed sale price, or a flat amount off — applied to the bundle subtotal or per product, in quantity tiers, or by marking items free. See "Discounts and pricing: what's possible."
Free gifts: items included in the bundle at no charge, one gift the customer chooses from a set, or gifts tied to a specific volume-discount option, added to the cart automatically or left for the customer to add. See "Discounts and pricing: what's possible."
Customer choice: which items to buy, quantities within limits you set, swapping a product within a group, choosing variants by swatch or dropdown, and a custom text field (for example, personalization). See "The kinds of bundle you can build."
Discounts applied natively through Shopify Functions at cart and checkout, including on multi-currency and multi-language stores, with no discount-code step for current installs. See "How a bundle reaches the cart, checkout and the order."
Merging qualifying cart items into a bundle discount even when the customer never touched the widget (Automatic bundle assembly in cart). See "How a bundle reaches the cart, checkout and the order."
Restricting an offer to specific Shopify Markets, excluding B2B customers, scheduling a start/end date, showing a countdown, and A/B testing up to four widget variants. See "Where your bundles can sell" and "Growing sales with upsells, AI and analytics."
Styling the widget with templates, color themes, typography, per-language text, custom CSS/JS, and an AI style assistant — covered in the app's design-system article.
Cart upsell popups, a post-purchase offer, AI-generated cross-sell widgets, and revenue/AOV/conversion/ROI analytics. See "Growing sales with upsells, AI and analytics."
Selling in Shopify POS, the Shop app, Google, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, depending on which bundle type you choose. See "Where your bundles can sell."
Working alongside subscription apps (RecurrinGO, Recharge, Recurpay, Appstle), review apps, translation apps, page builders and inventory/fulfillment tools. See "Integrations, third-party apps and the developer surface."
What the app does not do
It has no subscription engine of its own. A subscription bundle needs a separate subscription app providing selling plans. See "Integrations, third-party apps and the developer surface."
It has no multi-step "build your own box" flow with step-by-step rules. That's a different app — MBC Bundle Builder. MBC Bundles covers mix & match and optional products within a single widget.
It does not offer mystery boxes.
It cannot generate a discount code per customer. Bundle discounts are automatic — Shopify applies them at the cart with no code typed in. A campaign that depends on each customer getting their own code needs Shopify's own discount tools or a dedicated app.
It cannot target a customer segment, tag or VIP tier. The only audience controls are Markets and an Exclude B2B customers toggle, so a "members only" bundle cannot be built. See "Controlling who sees your bundle: publishing, markets and B2B customers."
It cannot increase a price. The sale-price rule can only lower the total a customer pays. If the products you selected already cost less than the sale price you set, the bundle is added to the cart at the real product price instead.
Physical and Shopify bundles cannot use the quantity selector, tiered discounts, or collection-based product groups. Those three controls are only available on Widget-only bundles.
Not every bundle pattern appears in the Shopify POS tile. The tile lists only Standard Bundle, Mix & Match and 1+1 Product Pack patterns built from individual products (not collections) and not single-product. Volume Discount and BOGO bundles, collection-based bundles, and bundles whose optional products are shown as a pop-up never appear in the tile, and Shopify itself requires POS Pro on the location before any app tile is available at all. This limits the tile only — the bundle discount still applies to any matching POS cart, including Volume Discount bundles. See "Where your bundles can sell."
The countdown timer never deactivates a bundle. All four conditions, Follow end date and time set for bundle included, only draw a clock; Follow end date simply mirrors the end date you already set. What actually stops a bundle is the End date and time in its Bundle active period card.
It cannot exceed Shopify's own limits: 2,048 variants per product, Shopify's own ceiling on active automatic discounts per store, and combination caps of 250 (Physical bundle) or 2,048 (Shopify bundle). See "Plans, billing and limits."
Analytics is not available on the Free plan. See "Plans, billing and limits."
The storefront does not use the Shopify Storefront API or the Customer Account API. It's served through the Shopify App Proxy instead.
What you need before any of this works
A Shopify Online Store with the app's App embed enabled in the current theme.
Bundle components published to the Online Store channel (and to the Point of Sale channel if you want the bundle usable in POS).
A paid plan for Analytics, and for any store above 10 orders in a trailing 30 days. See "Plans, billing and limits."
A connected review app if you want the widget's reviews element; a subscription app if you want subscription bundles.
One detail worth knowing on its own: a product hidden from search, navigation and collections (Shopify's "Unlisted" visibility) still qualifies for a bundle. The app checks only that the product is published to the Online Store channel and that it isn't Draft or Archived — it never looks at Search & Discovery listing state.
If you're not sure which bundle fits
Start from "The kinds of bundle you can build," which maps common requests ("buy 2 get 1 free," "pick any 3 for $X," "different sizes of the same item") to the structure and preset that deliver them.
