Most POS questions come down to mixing up two things that have nothing to do with each other: the discount, which applies by itself, and the tile, which is a convenience for staff. A bundle that never appears in the tile still discounts correctly at the register.
The discount applies to any matching POS cart
If a POS cart contains items that match a bundle, the discount applies with no tile action and no step for the cashier. This includes Volume Discount bundles, and every other bundle type.
It works because bundle membership is read from a per-variant metafield the app writes onto the product, not from anything the cart itself carries, and the discount function has no channel guard. A cashier who simply scans the qualifying items gets the discount automatically.
The tile is for browsing, assembling and reporting
The MBC Bundles POS tile lets staff browse bundles and put one together at the register, and it tags the order as a bundle sale for reporting. That is its whole job — it is not what makes the discount work.
The tile lists only bundles that meet all of the following:
The pattern is Standard Bundle, Mix & Match or 1+1 Product Pack.
The bundle is built from individual products, not collections, and is not single-product.
The bundle is active.
Every component is published to the Point of Sale channel.
Volume Discount and BOGO bundles, collection-based bundles, and bundles whose optional products are shown as a pop-up do not appear in the tile. Optional products shown as checkboxes are supported in it.
A bundle outside that list simply does not appear in the tile — and it still discounts at the register regardless.
Adding the tile to your POS
App tiles require Shopify POS Pro on the specific location. That is a Shopify requirement, not the app's, and without it there is no tile to add.
Open your POS app
Click "Add tile"
Click "App"
Select MBC Bundles
Choose the app extension
Click "Save"
Assembling a bundle at the register
Select a bundle in the tile, change its options if you need to, and add it to the cart. All items are added with the appropriate discounts.
Shopify bundles in POS
A bundle built as a Shopify bundle also works in POS natively, as a single product, the same way it works in the Online Store. That is separate from both the tile and the automatic discount above.
If nothing discounts at the register
The POS discount path relies on Automatic bundle assembly in cart being on. It is on by default, but if it has been switched off for your store, only bundles assembled through the storefront widget are discounted and POS carts stop discounting entirely.
Check this first. If you are not sure of its current state, contact support and mention that you would like "Automatic bundle assembly in cart" checked on your shop.
Keep the two symptoms apart when you report a problem: "the tile doesn't show my bundle" is answered by the eligibility list above, while "POS doesn't discount my bundle" starts with this setting.
