Online Store
Every bundle type works on the Online Store: the widget on product and bundle pages, home-page and collection sections, cart-page behavior, and checkout. This is the one channel every bundle type supports without exception.
Shopify POS
Yes, MBC Bundles works with Shopify POS — but the discount and the POS tile are two separate things, and mixing them up is the most common source of confusion.
The discount applies to any matching POS cart, automatically. If a POS cart contains items that match a bundle — including a Volume Discount bundle — the discount applies with no tile action and no step for the cashier. Bundle membership comes from a per-variant metafield the app writes onto the product, not from anything the cart itself carries, and the discount function has no channel guard. A bundle that isn't listed in the POS tile at all still discounts correctly at the register.
The POS tile is a separate convenience. It's for browsing and building a bundle at the register, and for tagging the order as a bundle sale in reporting. It lists only bundles whose pattern is Standard Bundle, Mix & Match or 1+1 Product Pack, built from individual products (not collections) and not single-product, active, with every component published to the Point of Sale channel. Volume Discount and BOGO bundles, collection-based bundles, and bundles whose optional products are shown as a pop-up do not appear in the tile; optional products shown as checkboxes are supported in the tile. App tiles additionally require Shopify POS Pro on the specific location — that's a Shopify requirement, not the app's.
Shopify bundles additionally work in POS natively, as a single product, the same way they work in the Online Store.
One real dependency: the POS discount path relies on Automatic bundle assembly in cart being on. It's on by default, but if it has been switched off for your store, only bundles assembled through the storefront widget are discounted, and POS carts stop discounting entirely. If nothing is discounting at the register, this setting is the first thing to check — contact support and mention you'd like "Automatic bundle assembly in cart" checked on your shop if you're not sure of its current state.
Other sales channels
Channel | Reached through |
Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram | Physical bundles — they're regular Shopify products, so they list wherever regular products list. |
Shop app and other Shopify-native channels | Shopify bundles (native bundle products). |
Shopify POS | POS tile for eligible patterns; the discount for any matching cart on any bundle type (see above). |
A Widget-only bundle has no product of its own, so it doesn't list on Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or the Shop app — it exists only as a widget and a cart-level discount on the Online Store and POS.
Shopify Markets
Yes. Markets in the bundle editor offers All markets or Specific markets (choose at least one). Both the discount function and the storefront widget filter by the customer's current market, so a bundle restricted to specific markets is invisible and non-discounting outside them — this is enforced on both the storefront and at the discount-calculation level, not just in the widget's display.
B2B and wholesale customers
Yes. Exclude B2B customers hides a bundle from shoppers signed in to a company account. This is a per-bundle toggle, not a store-wide one.
Multi-currency and multi-language
Yes, with no extra setup required. Because the discount runs through a Shopify Functions discount function rather than a discount code, it applies correctly on multi-currency and multi-language stores as part of Shopify's native discount system — checkout and order confirmation emails reflect the discount in whatever currency and language the storefront is already showing the customer.
