How to A/B test your bundles

Learn how to A/B test your bundles

Written by Andrey Gadashevich

A/B testing runs two versions of a bundle at the same time and splits your traffic between them, so real sales — not guesswork — tell you which offer performs best. Test a different discount, a different product mix, a different layout, or different wording, and let the data pick the winner.

Best for: stores that already have steady traffic and want to squeeze more revenue out of an existing bundle.

How to create an A/B test

  1. On your MBC Bundles dashboard, open the bundle you want to test in the editor.

  2. Click Add variant in the top-right of the editor to create a second version to test. [Screenshot: "Add variant" button in the top-right of the bundle editor]

  3. In the new variant, change one thing — for example the discount amount, the products included, the widget layout, or the headline.

  4. Click Save and Publish. Your traffic is now split between the two versions automatically.

Reading the results

Open your Analytics dashboard to compare how each variant performs on conversions and revenue. When one version is clearly ahead, keep it and remove the other.

Tips for a clean test

  • Change only one variable per test. If you change the discount and the products, you won't know which change drove the result.

  • Give it enough time and traffic. Let the test run until each variant has had a meaningful number of views before deciding.

  • Decide your metric up front — usually revenue per view or conversion rate — so the winner is obvious.

  • Once you have a winner, start a new test on the next idea. Small, repeated tests compound over time.
